This privacy policy explains what we collect, what we don't, and why. The short version: the calculators on this site run entirely in your browser, we don't sell your data, and we never see the numbers you enter.

What we collect

Very little - and by design. There is no account system, no login, and no profile. We do not ask for, store, or process personal information in the normal course of using the site.

• Calculator inputs. The numbers you enter (multiple-choice correct, free-response points) are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to us. They exist only on your device for the duration of your visit.
• Contact messages. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, and message. We use those only to respond to you.
• Basic technical logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider records standard server logs (requested URL, browser type, IP address) for security and reliability. We don't use these to identify or track individual visitors.

What we don't collect

• No advertising identifiers or cross-site tracking.
• No purchase or payment data (there's nothing to buy).
• No profile, account, or history tied to your identity.
• No data brokers, no selling, no renting of any personal information.

Cookies and local storage

We use a small amount of browser local storage for one thing: remembering your light/dark theme preference. That setting never leaves your device. We currently use no advertising or analytics cookies. If we ever add privacy-respecting analytics (e.g., an anonymous page-view counter), this policy will be updated to say so clearly.

How your data is handled

Contact messages are held in our inbox and our hosting provider's form service and are used solely to reply to you. We don't add you to mailing lists, sell your address, or share your message with third parties. If we respond by email, we may retain that thread only as needed to finish helping you, after which it's deleted or archived privately.

Third-party services

The site is a static website served by a hosting provider, and it loads fonts and other assets from our own domains or the provider's network. We do not embed third-party trackers, analytics SDKs, or advertising tags. The site is a progressive web app; if you choose to install it, the browser manages that locally on your device.

Children's privacy

This site is designed for high school students and general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the calculators are fully client-side and we collect no data during normal use, there is nothing to collect from any visitor unless they voluntarily email us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data, including access, correction, deletion, and the right to opt out of any processing. Because we hold only the email correspondence you choose to send us, exercising these rights is straightforward: contact us and we'll handle it.

Data retention

We retain contact correspondence only as long as needed to respond and resolve your inquiry, and we delete or anonymize it once it's no longer needed. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period for security purposes.

Security

We use HTTPS for the entire site, host on a reputable static hosting provider, and follow the principle of collecting the least data possible. Since we collect almost nothing, there is almost nothing to protect - by design, not by accident.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and note the change date. Material changes will be described here before they take effect.
