To avoid server infrastructure overload when over 2.8 million AP students attempt to log in simultaneously, the College Board distributes score access over a multi-day period grouped by geographical location (US states and international territories). If you try logging in at peak morning hours on day one, you may encounter temporary queue waiting screens.

Step-by-Step: How to Retrieve Your AP Scores

1. Verify Account Credentials: Log in to apscore.org using the exact same College Board account used during exam registration.
2. Check AP ID & School Info: Ensure your AP ID (found on your student label sheet or Bluebook profile) is correctly linked to your current account profile.
3. Navigate to "My AP Scores": Your main dashboard will display all past and current exam scores (1–5) along with downloadable official PDF score reports.

Troubleshooting Missing or Delayed AP Scores

If your account displays "Scores Delayed", "Code 9", or fails to show a specific 2026 subject score by mid-July, common technical reasons include:

• Duplicate Accounts: You inadvertently created a second College Board account during registration or SAT sign-up. Contact College Board customer service to merge duplicate profiles.

AP scores never expire, so scores from prior years stay available. You choose which scores colleges see: send one free report per year (before the June deadline), pay about $15 per additional report, or pay about $10 per score per college to withhold one from a report. The score season, by the numbers

Roughly seven weeks pass from exam day to score day. The release is staggered — if your state’s scores aren’t up on day one, that’s normal and not a sign something’s wrong with your account.

Your score is missing — what now?

Most “missing” scores are just a timing issue, but it’s worth ruling out the real ones. Work through this list in order.

1. Check the release window. Scores post state by state over about two weeks in early July. If your region’s day hasn’t passed, wait — a missing score is normal on day one.
2. Confirm your AP number. The score is attached to the AP number and email on your registration. A typo here is the most common real cause of a score not showing.
3. Check the right account. Scores appear in the College Board account used at registration — a different email means a different dashboard.
4. Verify the exam was submitted. If your proctor or exam-day form marked the exam as incomplete or unsubmitted, that blocks the score and you’ll need the College Board to resolve it.
